Knights of the Old Republic broke my heart when it punished me for falling in love, causing me to give up on Star Wars for the same reason I gave up on Buddhism: universal love eclipses and negates true interpersonal love. If you love everyone equally, you can't love anyone deeply. Not for me.
I think the Jedi celibacy rule is important,btw,&I would continue to enforce it, but I would emphasize more that Jedi cannot form long term monogamous bonds. in other words I basically agree with the no relationships principle, I think Anakin should have had to break up with Padme or leave the order
