Your worst nightmare. The illegitimate love child of Holden Caulfield and Don Quixote. That guy who adds stuff to TVARK.
Post something random, or you’ll have an awful December

Gone through a job lot of tapes I got from North Yorkshire. I found these CD-ROMS amongst them. 🤔

@nikkijay.games @beeblepete.bsky.social Brilliant. I remember Richard Scarry's stories and illustrations from when I was a child. This is a lovely mashup!

Most inappropriate segue into an advert of the week…

Saw this in Northallerton. Anyone remember The Dreamstone? It was an animated series on CITV? It had it's own album by Mike Batt! 😃 He's rounded up some big names for it though, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Connolly, Bonnie Tyler, Frank Bruno, Gary... OH. OH GOD NO. THAT'S THAT RUINED. 🤦‍♂️🙄

I'm just about to upload my next batch of videos to TVARK. To quote M to James Bond in You Only Live Twice, "This is the big one." I've completely overdone it and done 1000 videos. Which will be uploaded 10-30 at a time over the next few weeks. Pray for me.

This is shocking. History never repeats itself, people always do. 🙄

I once bought my Mum a little handheld Black and Decker Hoover for Christmas, she wasn't best pleased. But it had a woman's hand on the box and it was in Woolworths under Presents For Her.

Maybe that's why Woolworths went under. 🤔

It was the Queen that had Diana murdered. My mate Victor Lewis-Smith did a documentary that proves it. youtu.be/NHEpvS5O_e4?...

I got aggressively shouted at in town by an old lady saying "You ought to be ashamed of yourself! I know what you did!" I didn't do ANYTHING and I've never seen that lady before! 😳

Bloody layabouts! Get back to work and stop spoiling television for the rest of us you selfish, greedy bastards! 😡 Be thankful you have jobs to go to!
13 November 1970.

The Colour Strike began on ITV.

The unions claimed that their members using colour equipment deserved more pay. It was refused and ITV had to broadcast a monochrome only service.

The strike ended on 2 February 1971 and the colour service resumed 6 days later.

Just seen The Running Man. OH HO HO! That was great fun! Remember what action films USED to be like? Cheesy, with wise-cracks and above all, FUN? That's The Running Man, it's done Stephen King's book justice but Edgar Wright manages to put his own spin on the film! Paul Verhoeven would be proud.
November 13, 2025 at 6:08 PM
Gone to see The Running Man, this time last year, I saw this being filmed up a lane called Union Place on Gordon Street near Glasgow Central station.

Remember it's supposed to be a futuristic dystopia filled with no-hopers and drug addicts. So Glasgow fits the bill well. 😛

It's true what they say about Foster's, it's like making love in a canoe. It's fucking close to water. 😛

@ukads.bsky.social You were on about this the other day.
GRIM TALES (1989): Rik Mayall is magnificenly unhinged (of course!) as the storyteller in this glorious children's show, performing the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales like a live action Looney Tune. Written by Anne Caulfield and Anthony (Dramarama, Robin of Sherwood, Crime Traveller) Horowitz.

Seriously, if anyone should be DG, it should be Nigel Pickard. This man knows and cares about the medium of television. He was TVS's white knight of children's programmes in the 80's and 90's like No. 73 and How 2, and he was also behind the creation of the CBBC and CBeebies channels too.

Put me in charge of the BBC! I will bring back proper public service programming people will want! I'll bring back Saturday Morning Kid's shows! I'll bring back Top of the Pops! I'll bring back children's programming on BBC1 in the afternoon! I'll get the BBC back to how it USED to be! 😃
