Missing someone? Wishing you could take them for a cup of tea and cake and have a catch-up, but live too far away? You could send a letter every day and it would only add up to £5.95. But even just the one would do the trick. And think of all the love and joy that would bring. 💌

I have a lot of time for the way Tommy Tiernan teases good conversation out of his guests.
This is a beautiful treat from the writer Seamus O’Rourke

Is there a sadder sight than a half dressed, half awake man chasing empty yoghurt pots as they run downhill from a toppled bin at 7 in the morning?. If there is let me know I might feel better🙄

Awesome work
Good progress on R&J, letters painted, gilding almost done. Tomorrow I'll sand down the surface, oil the slate and we're there. Appearing in the shop soon...

Thank you, the soothing sounds of a Derbyshire landscape are always welcome
Calm Calm Calm

If you need some quiet tonight.

Episode 50 - Singing beck below Black Hill (60mins)

An hour of water tumbling into a deep rocky pool. The birds are asleep. Nocturnal things hold their silence.

Campsite Capers, another one of my Gibsons jigsaw puzzles is now available.

Featuring the usual mix of chaos and mayhem (watch out for those squirrels)

Shakespeare shake-up, my latest Gibsons jigsaw puzzle is now available.
There’s none of my usual squirrels, but there are escaped bats, toads and goats who bring their own chaos.
Btw there’s a tortoise to be spotted in everyone of my puzzles

If you need a distraction from all the things you should be doing, have a friend send you a big envelope of old stamps. What history and adventures they reveal, not least the romance of them being found in a biscuit tin in the shed… ☺️🔎✉️🍪❤️

Priceless
Just wanted to share this nice story about Ernie Wise from Eddie Braben’s book. Braben was offered £2k to punch up a film script. Ernie, who wasn’t involved in the film project, made a call & got that fee doubled.

I miss the days when my children would ask me to draw something for them. Now they’re grown up and living away, illustrating letters to them is a lovely connection with those past days, thanks for the prompt x
