Q3: Which is the better feeling: finishing a project, or starting a new one?
#makershour

Finishing one, if there is a finite finish (like a quilt). Sometimes I just have to say, that's enough (like filling a dolls house).

But starting is good fun.

Llun olaf am sbel. Dwi'n meddwl, bydd y goeden noeth ar ôl ein gwyliau. #castanwyddeneccles

Last picture for a while. I think, the tree will be bare after our holidays. #eccleschestnut
A horse chestnut tree, in full leaf, against a grey sky. Beside it is a green area bordered by a low stone wall, with other trees and in the background is a large Victorian house. The road in front is cobbled.

The tree is nearly bare, as is small laburnum tree is in front of the chestnut.

Telephone wires cut across the sky from a telegraph pole next to the tree.

#boreda bawb. Dydd gweithdy cymunedol heddiw, wedyn, yn y prynhawn, sgwrs Cymraeg. A rhaid i mi bacio am ein gwyliau.

#goodmorning everyone. Community workshop day today, then, in the afternoon, Welsh conversation. And I have to pack for our holiday.

@sillygwailo

You'll be happy to know that in my cleaning job, I sweep the paths with a broom, even though there is a leaf blower available.

Dydd llwyd ond gynnes eto. #castanwyddeneccles

A gray but warm day again. #eccleschestnut

I've baked a lemon and lime cake.

I rescued our old electric mixer (c 1970's) from Mum's cupboard last week, and used it today to mix a cake. What a joy. Quiet, slow speed to start, strong beaters that don't need a brace down the centre, so they are easy to get the mix off. May it carry on many more years! […]

Alfred is now perusing the "Yellow Pages" section, exclaiming at the various industries that used to be based in Leicestershire.

(Walkers Crisps, of course, still are)

We extracted this, plus several 10+ year old directories from Mum's telephone table in the hall. We should just recycle it with the rest, but it feels more like a historic document!
The cover of an A4 sized booklet entitled "Postcodes Leicester and District"

It is published by the Post Office, and dated April 1980.

Tri brecwast blasus y bore 'ma.

Three delicious breakfasts this morning.
A round cafe table with three plates of breakfast on it and three cups of coffee. Two breakfasts are Full English, bacon, eggs, sausage toast etc, and the third is two poached eggs on toast smothered in cheese sauce.

#boreda bawb. Dyn ni'n mynd i'r canolfan garddio am frecwast, a choffi. Wedyn, awn ni adre y prynhawn 'ma. Mae hi dal yn wyntog!

#goodmorning everyone. We're going to the garden centre for breakfast and coffee. Then we'll go home this afternoon. It's still windy!

Pan mae'r GIG yn dda, mae'n dda iawn. Aethon ni i'r feddygfa, gaethon ni tri brechiad fliw, ac un covid, yn bum munud.

When the NHS is good, it's very good. We went to the surgery, we got three flu vaccinations, and one covid, in five minutes.

Roedd cyweiriad arbennig heddiw. Hen arth, oedd wedi colli ei stwffin. Roedd rhaid i mi agor ei wnïad, ail-stwffio, ac ail-gwnïo.

There was a special repair today. An old bear, had lost his stuffing. I had to open its seam, re-stuff, and re-sew.
A very flat, empty, teddy bear, in a pale grey green colour. The same teddy, restuffed, sitting up, looking much happier.

Mae'r goeden yn dal yno ar ôl y gwynt, ond un o'r biniau wedi rhoi'r ffidil yn y to. #castanwyddeneccles

Welon ni hwn yn Lidl ddoe. Dweudodd Alfred, "O'n i'n darllen y gair cyntaf anghywir...."

We saw this in Lidl yesterday. Alfred said, "I read the first word wrong..."
A neon style sign for sale in a supermarket. It's meant to read Trick or Treat, but the style of writing makes the first word look like Fuck.
