I even tell him I get that sometimes research papers are hard to understand if that's not your area of education. He replies explaining what a meta-analysis is.

Fairly OK. I did most of my grieving as my dad was losing his memory, so it's just kinda residual grief at this point for lack of a better way to describe it.
