The only thing that has damaged the UK is Brexit. I seem to recall that Trump helped it happen on behalf of Putin. We need to reconnect with the EU and remove US influence from our society and maybe will be able to thrive as a mid range social democracy again.

It may get significantly more difficult over the next three years to get vaccines in the United States.
