Thought today "Eh, I'll get on XIV, see what's up." After an hour of fighting with Steam to figure out how to renew my sub (not even on Steam), and then finding XIV Launcher just...didn't want to Launch...I'm not sure where the disconnect is but I'm already frustrated enough today.

Discord changed their sound effects to be more spooky for Halloween and I didn't notice. It sounds just like when my audio card has an aneurism and forgets what input/output to use. Which is terrifying. Nothing scarier than my PC making a noise I'm not used to. "Oh god! No! You were just working!!"💀

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to publish original works of writing? Outside of Ao3 (which I understand is mostly just for Fanfiction). I've done some research but it seems like most of the alternative sites are either shutting down or no longer used. Would need to allow adult content.

Logged into XIV for the first time in a while to make sure the house was still there and wondered why everything looked different. Turns out, I was freeing up space on my SSD for a project and...accidentally deleted all my 'resources'. Welp, 2 years of curation gone. Guess it's time to start over!
