When my kids were little and asked for something I didn't want to do, I would always say "maybe." I didn't realize I could have just said "in two weeks" and never actually done it.

People saying "I never heard about this #juneteenth thing when I was growing up" should really consider what that says about our education system and racism. Just because it only became a federal holiday 4 years ago doesn't mean we all shouldn't have been recognizing it for over 150 years!

Your opinion of Abrego Garcia as a person should have no impact on your opinion as to whether he should be returned. Our government saying it is powerless to return ANY prisoner sent by US to El Salvador should be shocking and unacceptable. Where is the line drawn on who gets "accidentally" sent?

The Attorney General of Indiana used the Pride Flag today to make an "April Fool's Day Joke." I think we know WHO the joke really is. What a disgrace that an elected official would so openly mock their own constituents in such a hateful way. What kind of CHRISTIAN is this man??

I guess saying when and where and how you are going to attack someone might not be considered war plans?? Kudos to The Atlantic for releasing the texts considering how many people in the administration argued and testified that there was DEFINITELY nothing classified in there.

So far today I have heard: 1) it's the reporter's fault for not leaving, 2) there wasn't anything classified but if the reporter releases it and it is classified, he may go to jail, 3) it was just an honest mistake, 4) the reporter is a liar, 5) it's Biden's fault. Does that about sum it up?

The thing about a president like Carter is that even if you disagreed with his policies, you respected him as a person. You appreciated his work ethic and his treatment of others--his humility and his faith.

A fun fact about me is that I run a Banned Book Club in a very Red State. Most people in the group are actively helping in various ways to at least turn our area Purple. We read all of the books with open minds but then get together to crap talk the book banners.

My to-do list every morning starts with checking if the DVC night I need at Boardwalk opened, looking for a cabana deal for my upcoming RC cruise, Wordle, quick glance for important emails, and procrastinating on my work out. You can probably guess which one I am on now.
