Tuesday night the Board of Supervisors seated several new Advisors -- thank you! We also have several seats still open:
-Rural Resident (primary)
-Rural Resident (alternate)
-Environmental NGO representative (alternate)
-Equity and Social Justice representative (alternate)
The King CD Advisory Committee begins a new 2-year term this year and applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. Committee members typically meet for 1.5 hours 6 times a year to share lived experience and practical advice with the board. Learn more or apply: kingcd.org/about/adviso...

The Cedar River still functions as an important water supply for Seattle, as well as a salmon migration route. In 2023 King Conservation District assisted the city of Renton in stabilizing parts of the riverbank, protecting water cleanliness and salmon habitat.

-Passed the 2025 budget
-Approved a new, 3-year CBA with KCD staff
-Offered a 3-year contract extension to Executive Director Rosa Méndez-Perez
