Anyone fellow educators recommend an air mouse and/or wireless presenter that is Chrome OS compatible that DOESN’T have a laser pointer? Main application is remotely playing/pausing videos (like on YouTube). Had a simple Kensington Wireless Presenter (great with Google Slides) but no YouTube control

My late father loved Gravenstein apples. He tried to grow an apple tree on his property. I remember his excitement the first year that it bore fruit, followed by his disappointment when the neighbourhood deer ate almost every one of them! Looks like the tree wanted to honour his passing this year.

When you’ve used the same product for more than 35 yrs (maybe longer) it’s understandable that one would get a little antsy when stores stop stocking it … last can on the left I bought at local pharmacy for $6.99 about 4 months ago. Reluctant purchase on right? 2 for $38.99! Tariffs? Availability?

On this day in 1963, Bluenose II was launched at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
Built to the original plans of the Bluenose, it even used some of the original workers. Bluenose captain Angus Walters also consulted on the design. Today, it is the sailing ambassador of Nova Scotia.

Listening to @cbcnews-rss.bsky.social and hearing about the body cam experiment @loblaws.bsky.social is proposing to curb theft. Perhaps if they weren’t trying to rob consumers blind every day, they wouldn’t need to work so hard to do that.

When my mom passed, nearly four years ago, I shared her passing on what was still Twitter. Today I mark the passing of my Dad on BlueSky … a long time educator in our area with a legacy & sphere of influence I can only hope to scratch the surface of! He knew the value of hard work as youngest of 10!
