At the end of this month, from 21 July to 3 August, important work will be done to make the Library building more accessible by widening the step-free entrance next to IDS. In order to achieve this, the step-free entrance must be temporarily closed while the work is carried out. (1/3) #SussexUni

On the 16 June, there will be filming outside the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts between 7:00am and 8:00pm. This will include the use of police vehicles and sirens, which may be audible within some of the Library. Apologies for any inconvenience. #SussexLibrary #SussexUni

A couple of things you can do on Bluesky to help accessibility is to us CamelBack hashtags, e.g. #MondayReads, where each word is capitalised.

and use alt text on your images, this can be set in settings

Both help screen readers

In our latest directive we asked our writers about any good news they might have received or heard recently. H260, who has been writing for us since 1981, was in no short supply of good news from her 16 great grandchildren!
A scan of a handwritten document. It is written by a retired shop keeper who is 91. She is writing about the good news she has received recently. It includes her great grandson passing his driving test, two great-grand daughters becoming sports captains and also being provided a wheelchair by her daughters so that she can now go outside in the sunshine.
