I think of today’s purveyors of a whiny, entitled “masculinity” in light of the scene in The Godfather where Johnny Fontane is crying that he didn’t get a part in a movie, going “what do I do, what do I do?,” and Vito slaps him, saying “you could act like a man!”

My how times have changed.

We will not stop until they stop. 💕
We’ve reached the point in this crisis where comrades from out of state are shipping us packages of thousands of whistles to distribute.

Know that when we win here- we’ll return that favor for the next city. Just as Chicago has taught us.

We are all in this together.

they killed them so they couldn't talk and prove they were not drug smugglers.

Y'all need to start thinking of this as a mob run kleptocracy. They doubletapped the surivors to shut them up and because it was easier than hauling their corpses to the Pine Barrens.
Again, if this is a legitimate reason to kill someone (it isn’t), then there was nothing the survivors could have done to avoid being killed. And we know that can’t be right, because the USMCJ cites the killing of shipwrecked people **as its prototypical example** of an unlawful order.
4/ Even worse on these officials account, it seems if the third view is correct, that was a reason to kill the survivors.

You read that right, and I am not exaggerating.⤵️

A shipwrecked person beckoning others to come rescue them is a basis for killing them.

that's why it took an hour to do. If the standing order was nuke them and any survivors, they would have just done it. But they saw the video, realized they were civilians, and mulled it over for an hour and decided their silence was more important than anything else

I try to always ignore serial racist Megyn Kelly, but there is a non-zero chance that she (to paraphrase Ray Wylie Hubbard): "didn't use the cocaine to get high…
she just liked the way it smelled"

In other words, her wanting to torture and kill alleged cocaine boaters is a bit ironic

I don't have time to debunk all of the ways this is inaccurate, but I'll highlight a few things and then recommend some books🧵

Why is Jeffries covering for the fact that the regime is breaking immigration law? That's why saying "the border is secure" does. That's what "give Trump credit" does.

Trump does not want law & order.

He wants to break laws to achieve his goals.

And the Democratic leader SHOULD BE SAYING THAT.

There was a tweet some years back that was like "Being a Democrat is like going to a concert where the band is telling everyone to calm down the whole time" and I think about it a lot
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.
