It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.
Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

Trump will have no understanding of what is going on and will have to turn to the AI oligarchs to support him in this battle.

I feel exactly the same way. Thank you for sharing. I worked in a hospital in Chicago during the AIDS crisis (we were the hospital that were set up to receive the most patients). Life was so dark inside those walls, yet life went on outside those sterile walls. I am gut wrenched once again.
I feel like I'm living two lives rn. The one where I am happy and thriving and the one where I'm paralyzed and terrified. I have a friend who lived in NY in the 80s and listening to him tell stories and have flashbacks is uniquely awful.
