Yeah sure, though I'm sure some people would rather have a scut job in a law firm than none. And how long do you think the law partners will be willing to have a 5-15% additional headcount to clean up this mess when the promise of the "AI" was to actually reduce headcount?

It doesn't say interns though does it? And how would getting a job at a law firm stifle their careers? The "AI revolution" was supposed to lead to a reduction in jobs, not a boost in jobs.

It is also cool that this week both Edward and myself are presenting in the same session at the Aus-NZ Comms conference.

Thanks for the ping @anderspucknielsen.dk 😀 It's interesting how journals work. Edward's article was published "online first" in 2024. I was able to comment on and reference it in my recent article (see p. 99).

Children are constantly monitoring sentencing laws in the mainstream press, and as rational actors, this will definitely make them think twice before offending.

Anyway, I get it, you don't like the new law. Tim thinks it's ok. You disagree with him having an endorsing thrust in his op-ed. You think it's worth pointing out that Tim's employer gets funding from corporations. I think that was not done in a nice way. Thanks for the chat.
