I'm a 3d artist and hobby game dev, trying to focus on short projects that inspire me right now.

I use Blender, I try to texture everything procedurally with Blender shader nodes, Krita when needed, Game Engines... I prefer Godot.
I've been too busy to even touch blender lately but I love that I was posting works in progress. Seeing the three progress pics I last did. It's actually extremly motivating to come back to the project when my life becomes less chaotic.

One very clean house later, I got back to work on Ashura's Shrine!

Started my first texture pass today and dialed in more of the atmospheres and lighting.

"He was defeated, skinned alive, drained of all his blood, and the dried up body and soul was stuffed into a sack made up of his own skin to seal away him and his Madness."

From the Soul Eater Fan wiki

Working on environment and atmosphere at the moment.

1st look at my new project!

Ashura's Shrine from the anime Soul Eater

I love dark, beautiful, painterly enviorments, and I see them a lot in different Anime and this scene has been living in my mind for awhile.

What's up cool People! I've been working on a small indie game for a couple months but I'm ready for a fresh start on a new project!

Small anime environments made in blender, playable in Godot!

Feeling like I'm losing motivation to work on this. I really want one more material before I really go through and texture the sword... At least the blade is facing the right way now...

You know that feeling when you want to make something so bad the idea won't leave you alone?

The pommel was made with boolean modeling, the entire hilt relied on lattice modifiers after I had the base shape, the blade was made with a plane over the blade reference.

Trying to get back into the swing of it. I've been too busy to touch my computer lately and wanting to see what could be done with boolean modeling a sword. Definitely an experiment to be iterated on it.

Busy busy busy... I've got a lot of projects going on! The three panel materials were made to texture and make cool a couple spaceships, and then the crystal material I have earmarked for a cool hard surface asset I have yet to make but sketches have been made!

I've been trying to get into hard surface modeling lately, most tutorials seem to use addons... but I'm broke so I've been playing with booleans.

Day 14 Honestly I'm not sure about this one. I was trying to combine a couple different techniques I've learned to make a stylized wood... I don't think it reads as wood though.

😑 I hate that I'm posting on an odd numbered days of doing this. Day 12 and 13! I was watching a guy using a scratches texture and I'm like wait! I have a tutorial for that!

Super excited for the New Year! Bite me 2025!

I ended up taking a few days off and now I'm back! I'm helping out with a scifi hobby game so I made a rocky moon surface, and a planet material... I ended up redoing a lot of the planet to make it all one shader instead of mix shaders.

Day 7 and 8, I found a nice little hard surface sculpting tutorial because I knew I would want something custom for the procedural edge masks and then I saw a beautiful render with moss everywhere and knew that had to be next!

Day 5 and 6 of building my procedural material library. I'm trying to lean into more procedural effects that can be layered on top of other procedural materials to make them pop more.

I was really liking how my fingerprint material came out so I decided to clean up my node graph to screenshot too!

I'm really enjoying procedural materials right now. Getting to accomplish and finish several things in the few hours I have in the mornings has been refreshing.

Day one and two of building a procedural material library in blender! It's been fun getting back to basics and getting away from game dev for a moment.
