I'm a 3d artist and hobby game dev, trying to focus on short projects that inspire me right now.

I use Blender, I try to texture everything procedurally with Blender shader nodes, Krita when needed, Game Engines... I prefer Godot.

I think my mistake was to try to boolean the entire sword instead of boolean modeling the pieces of the hilt, handle and sword. Trying to do things quickly tripped me up and I spent a lot of time "fixing" and pushing around vertices to fix artifacting from the booleans.
