you’re 100% right, we have to look out for each other! fandom is wild & dramatic & chaotic & trying to explain it to outsiders ends in blank stares most of the time but it’s vital to so many people as a creative & safe space. it’s gotta be protected & we can’t do that if we turn on each other!

i think it’s just a part of the writing process! it’s both humiliating & satisfying imo. writing 1 thing across multiple years is interesting for the same reason. we’re always changing & growing & i think that’s so cool!

tl;dr is that a fairly popular bsdtwt user made a fake account where they lied about their age (adult pretending to be a minor) & was found to be a predator.

horrible stuff (i can dm you the doc detailing it all) but life takes priority.
