this is especially true of larger fat bodies. most fat positive artists don't go beyond midfat. as anyone who follows me knows, i have nothing against fat kink art, but an entire body size (chrissy metz/gaborue sibidi sized and above) should not be left exclusively to kink art.
the low rate of fat representation in art as a whole, including as frequently taught in life drawing, is one of the factors by which fat folks are invisibilized.
it leads to us being treated as less than human, because people aren’t used to seeing us in the media they consume.

I spent a lot of my life drawing stick-thin figures in my art because I was just as immersed in these unhealthy body-standards as anyone else. I've made an active effort these past few years to encompass a far wider spectrum of body-types. Embrace diversity in physicality, it is an act of rebellion.
