My 11 month old is teething and has only napped an hour since 6:30am. He wants to be picked up and cuddled AND be put down to toddle about at the same time. He is big mad at discovering that isn't possible but demands I try anyway.

Spooky month is nearly here, which means the spooky season decor will soon be going up in the flat. It also means I can buy halloween themed clothing and a costume for the bub! He's going to be 1 in October, I can't believe how fast time flies!

This beautiful old Menelaus Blue Morpho butterfly specimen.

Need to rearrange a few things to find the best place to display it (we like trinkets and cool decor stuff in this household and must keep things away from little hands).

The local charity shops have been great recently. Recent finds inc.:
- A ton of wooden train set pieces
- A Galileo's thermometer
- A stratton compact (I lost my bag with this in and I'm still devastated lol)
- A new with tags Voodo Vixen swing skirt

I had a physiotherapist appointment today. I wasn't expecting it to go well, but for once I someone who really cared. Also turned out the issue wasnt as bad as it seemed on scan results! Having had bad physio experiences over a decade ago, today's experience was a pleasant surprise.

Also, since everything has custom trays but arrived bagged up, I now have a TON of baggies to use in other board games that are lacking them.

And yes, sorting everything and sleeving it all did take me about an hour but I kept getting distracted by how cool all the art and components are.

Critter Kitchen arrived! Never had a game arrive so well packed!

And damm, Cardboard Alchemy weren't kidding when they said deluxe! There's SO MANY TOKENS (all wooden or metal), cards, and custom storage. The artwork is gorgeous. The quality is incredible.

Cannot wait to get this to the table!

I cannot wait for December. Dragonmeet cannot come fast enough! I haven't been to any cons yet this year (no UKGE for the first time since I started going!). I miss seeing folks!

I'm also looking forward to getting the small goblin a new suitably nerdy outfit for his 2nd Dragonmeet!

I could do this for TTRPGs too, since TTRPGs are my job, its just I haven't gotten to actually play in a while (new parenthood lol). So things would range from "I worked on this" to "This is fun to play" to "I haven't played this but I bought it with a vain hope I will one day, isn't it pretty!"

I am having a not great week so I had a massive chocolate drenched waffle for breakfast and then treated myself to the deluxe Critter Kitchen board game. Might even pick up some expansion bits for other board games. I'll worry about shelf space later 🤣
