My issue with the AI music debate is that no songwriter emerges from a vacuum, fully formed.
Everyone is “trained” on other artists work. It’s a natural part of them becoming who they are.
Does that mean that say Ed Sheeran has to pay the Beatles because he listened to their music growing up?

Took my daughter to listen to my favourite band performing the song that inspired us to name her after Martha Wainwright. After 30 years, I still love Snow Patrol and last nights gig was top drawer.
