Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."
Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

I don’t begrudge the sports people their entertainment, I’m just not interested.
But I guess it’s culturally important and I should at least passively participate.

A portmanteau of my first and middle names that’s also a reference to a long time favorite story. Plus my favorite number that’s incidentally my last initial.
Tea is my first (nick) name, I like Teaberry Gum and Berry-Blue Jell-o, and I have been using this as a handle since college, that’s really all there is to it.
Our original last name had no vowels so we chose a more pronounceable (but still Jewish) one when they let us in here. And that’s my handle because I need to be findable online for professional reasons.

I’m pretty sure it’s either Return of the Jedi or The Jewel of the Nile…I remember seeing both multiple times but if I kept track I’ve forgotten.
For me: No contest. Raiders. My all-time fave.
Empire: I was primed for multiple rewatches.
Spider-Man 2: I was an adult w/ a bank account + it was Spider-Man 2.
Spider-Verse: AMC Stubs + skin in the game.
5th place: Star Wars.

Come, make me feel better and share your nemesis words.
Sound + Vision tour
second row of an open admission concert
It’s one of my favorite memories and an experience I’m *very* glad I had as a teenager because I’d die if I tried that shit now. 😂

Stay tuned for information on a 10th anniversary edition coming very soon.
Because if the latter sports is clearly the answer simply by virtue of numbers.
But if we’re judging by individuals, comics fans have a real shot at the top spot. 😒
