I broke a bone in my hand doing a dyno move at one point! Because of that I usually don't do dyno routes anymore, and try to focus on routes that are mostly static where I feel like I have a lot of control

Totally! I really fell off for a while during and for a bit after covid, and I never pushed that hard since I had an injury a while ago, but I've been finding new ways to progress lately, learning new things to add to my training and trying to improve my stability and mobility

climbing & other training doesn't just lift my spirits, I'd say it was the major factor that lifted me out of depression. If my experience generalizes to others, then I think so much human suffering could be relieved if everyone learned the difference it makes when you move your body a lot.

climbing girl stuff... It's about the 10 yr anniversary of me starting out at the gym and I always tell people it honestly turned my life around in a big way. Exercise lifts my spirits and I wouldn't be who I am today or able to do what I do if I didn't keep at it.

skyrim is a vibe. It's a game, but it's even more a vibe. the slow pace of exploration and walking around, the easy-ish gameplay, the straightforward quests... this game is not a "lean forward" RPG and that's actually a great thing about it if you're playing it to relax and rest your mind and body.

listening to a lot of music to rage to, to feel depressed and nihilistic to. Sum41's darker moments are a great example of that.

(If you read the book, you'll probably get why I've been thinking about nostalgic music so much, lmao)
