I also witnessed his grit, mastery of complex concepts, artful communication, and professionalism in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition in fall 2024. Joe earned Fifth Best Oralist honors in the preliminary rounds, and he and his partner, Tanya Panossian-Lesser, placed 3rd! #healthlaw

It was an honor to supervise Joe's Comment, which deftly analyzed state step therapy legislation in the context of the nation’s ongoing mental health crisis and complex health insurance regulatory system. Joe made incisive recommendations for more expansive and effective step therapy regulation.
