They lived there their whole lives. I wasn't a long-time resident. But the experience is the same almost anywhere if you aren't a white man. You just gotta choose a country with the least belligerent cultures at that given moment. Be flexible, adaptive, realistic, and add to the positive.

Not anymore, but I was a little over a year ago. And not just a short stay either😉. I got a well-rounded experience of Canada, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm currently living in Norway. I'm a dual citizen American and Norwegian. I had family in Canada, but they emigrated this year to Japan.

Not anymore, but I was a little over a year ago. And not just a short stay either😉. I got a well-rounded experience of Canada, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm currently living in Norway. I'm a dual citizen American and Norwegian. I had family in Canada, but they emigrated this year to Japan.
From looking at what is posted often by indigenous communities, news, and Canadian history, Canada is just America-lite. I've been in Canada and seen that the multicultural claim is all talk. The behavior in the Americas, Africa, and other European parisitized places is all an essay in ugliness.

At the very least, I doubt you'll be targeted there. Even the threat of it is horrendous but 'on brand' for the US. In the end, the safety and health of your family comes first. I moved to Norway, so I am all for people stepping outside of the US for a bit.

Please be careful, Canada is not as great as it seems. While not currently as bad as the US, there are problematic social issues there that are quite troubling. They say all the sweet things about themselves that Americans say about America. Regardless, Happy Exodus.

I am not convinced a country built by insidious people can have its false ideals supported. That's like the sheep trying to support the idea of the sheep's clothing that is covering the wolves. It has always been a ruse and fine wool suit.
