funnily enough my mastodon client is the only app i can actually use to post images because it doesn't request photos access and just shows the system photo picker

i know apple like to make a big fuss about privacy but this is a bit excessive

my iphone has nuked all permissions from all apps (including its own built in icloud service apparently) and won't give me the option to grant them back

the ios settings permissions page showing that 0 apps have been granted for most permissions

the ios photos app telling me i have no photos, but also 9 photos that can't be synced because i haven't accepted the icloud terms and conditions (i have)

the ios settings page telling me 0 apps have requested access to my microphone

@samhenrigold @lety i keep getting the access files popup but idk if it's related - you'd need root to modify the hosts file, and there's better ways to check if something was blocked then just reading the file
