Yup, heard about this from friends in Guelph. Very upsetting. You spend money on infra and encourage people to use it, but then cut funding to keep it safe an useable all year? What a waste or resources and potential hazard. If anyone is injured as a result, they should call us.

So taking away access to jobs and revenue in terms of economic spin offs isn't worth the investment? Make it make sense!
Gibson says he doesn't think it's justified yet. It will be one day, but not today.

Goller asks about the difference between $800k in the original budget. Clack-Bush says it's because they'll start in Nov instead of Sept.

This daytime shelter is a necessary resource for unhoused or precariously housed people of #Guelph. The city received a fantastic application from RCM and Stepping Stone, and to deny this opportunity would be a reckless and costly mistake.

How much worse will housing accessibility, accomodations, and security for disabled tenants be when landlords are further advantaged with faster eviction mechanisms and more opportunity for retaliation against us?

Pesky e-bike riders delivering food to people should be ticketed... @tps.ca there appears to be a double standard here because stopping in for some Jerk King, although delicious is not actively responding to an emergency.

The use of the lights here, while clever, is certainly inappropriate.
