I’m sure there will. Modding as a whole is like a fungus on ffxiv grown from people’s determination to have more. Mare was great, but now with it gone it’s shown people what we can have, and there are people who won’t be willing to let that go so easy. Now we know whats possible!

I’m not gonna pretend like I haven’t only been modding for (counts on fingers) a week. I’m not the biggest fan of every type of modding but it’s dumb to pretend that modding on its own doesn’t bring together people who have more vision for their characters

I do think it’s a littleee bit funny that people who’ve never done modding are taking mares shut down as like “thank god modding is finally over now the social aspect of the game can come back” when mare WAS the social aspect of modding. The actual modding is still here, just can’t see each other

Right! Especially in comparison to fighting gacha where you pull for characters that better perform in harder content. The outfits are purely aesthetic, sure they have abilities but you don’t need them to play the game. Plus you basically get a 5 star piece every other pull, it’s pretty level imo

A little more satisfying in the payoff. Admittedly I haven’t played a lot of gacha games but a lot of them are character gacha, vs Nikki where you can get pieces of each outfit and absolutely wear them without the whole. So it’s wild to see from outside the amount of anger people have for it?
