A thing I’ve noticed about cartoonists, and I think Don Martin fits too, is that in person they are unassuming, normal appearing people, yet the cartoons they create are bizarre.

If it were real the asserted evidence would converge on the reality. There would not be sectarian disagreement as the evidence would be obvious. Schism happens because there is no agreed methodology to ascertain the truth.
