Look, I know we're all sick of hearing "if this had happened with any other president ..." but it's absolutely true and absolutely can't be forgotten.

For some reason, this nation gives this idiotic spoiled brat a free pass from things that would destroy the administration of any other person.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

Will Bondi and Kash ever be questioned about this?
3. A reminder that months ago the DOJ said that the Epstein files “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

DC journo brain: Dems give a shit about norms, so they should follow them; Republicans don't give a shit about them, so they can do whatever they want. It's explicit!
HUNT: Dems have argued that the norms of our govt should be that you negotiate policy outside of a shutdown

GALLEGO: You're talking about norms in a time of Donald Trump?

H: But Ds have spent so much time arguing that maintaining norms is incredibly important

G: It's all out the window, Kasie. No

That's the definition of fascism from Robert Paxton, one of the preeminent historians of the subject, from his book ANATOMY OF FASCISM which came out more than two decades ago.
Oh yes, this is clearly now.

i will never not be amused by how the conservative world is governed by the kind of “affirmative action” they say happens in mainstream institutions. totally unqualified dipshits are handed the keys to institutions because they say the right thing and have the right look.

If you’d told me a decade ago that the NYT and WaPo would roll over for a Republican president going full fascist while the Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal went on the attack — and that Bill Kristol was pressing the attack harder than Nancy Pelosi — well, I’d have had you committed.

I don't understand how the Times can never determine whether Trump is lying but can say with certainty when he is joking.
President Trump on Tuesday joked to reporters that he would like to be the next Pope. He took it a step further on Saturday, sharing what appeared to be an A.I.-generated photo of himself wearing the traditional vestments of the pontiff.

The president has joked about being the next pontiff, but the image, which appeared to be A.I.-generated, took things a step further and drew some pushback.

It will reduce quality of life and shrink the economy. Why? If you can’t trust baby food to not kill your kid, you make your own. If you can’t trust toys to not kill your kid you buy fewer toys, focusing on a few trustworthy brands. If you can’t trust planes not to crash you fly less.
“Many people don’t realize how high the American quality of life is because of the competent & stable enforcement of regulations, &if that goes away a lot of lives are at risk,” said Steve Cicala… “This affects airplane safety, baby formula safety, the safety of meat, vegetables and packaged foods…”

"Your retirement account is only down 5.5%, that's not a lot" sounds like excellent messaging and I strongly encourage Fox News and Republicans to double down on it.
SANDRA SMITH: The market since election day is almost flat. It's only down 2% since Trump was elected president again. And since inauguration day, it's down 5.5%.

ROBERT WOLF: That's a lot

SMITH: That's a lot?

WOLF: 5.5% is a lot
