5 parties have double digit support. An election held under FPTP would be a lottery which Reform could win. Progressives will try to game the system by tactically voting for a party they don’t want in order to defeat Reform but with so many unknowns it could easily fail. A ridiculous situation.

Trump only admires strength; when is a simpering, genuflecting world going to realise this?!
He's upset nearly everyone, so why doesn't nearly everyone stand up for themselves?

Absolutely right. The edit didn't change in any way the meaning of the Jan 6 speech. It was an insurrection, he lost the election and tried to overturn the result. Should still be in jail for it.

Question is why it has blown up now? I hate conspiracy theories but where Farage is involved nothing should be ruled out. We know Trump threatens to get compliance so could this threaten to sue be to help prevent future scrutiny of Reform by the BBC.

Brilliant piece as usual, and my respect probably increased tenfold by this exchange. Good work. 👏👏

Yep. That about sums it up. What did Starmer do when the Daily Mail demonstrably lied about him? Sue them? No. He took it on the chin, as we are all expected to do on this side of the political spectrum. It’s an uneven playing field with one set of rules for them & another for the rest.
