Recently installed a heat pump.
In Massachusetts it’s more cost effective than natural gas @. <40 deg F. Its not typically used for central heat if natural gas available. Heating Efficiency jumps for October/November. Heat pump picks up again March, April and May.

Over the summer i installed a heat pump. It’s powered by solar. With Halloween approaching local temperatures drop to 40 Deg F. So far heat is 100% via heat pump❤️.
Natural gas eventually turns on @ < 32 F where HP electricity is more costly than NG.
Big cost saving👍
