Anyway I'm just thinking about this, because we watched Ghosts UK and after Ghosts US. The omissions are interesting, but also, my goddamn social media feeds... remind me of every goddamn online community of Americans centring themselves, non-stop. It's getting boring. Yay Thanksgiving week.

Maybe you shouldn't be involved in politics until you have worked on yourself, understand yourself, and are actually able to work with others without centring yourself.

A big part of American politics is people being 'involved.'.. who would be better off with a mirror than a phone or a podcast.

Even their leftism has narcissism baked in. Your feelings, your ideology, your social capital... it's just so bloody tedious watching these toddlers grow into 5 year olds as the rest of us are adults.

Not to generalise lol it just drives me nuts and my BSky feed is... yep. That.

It feels like the natural conclusion to the fucking bot hellscape of slop-brains, slop-people, and slop-politics of manufactured outrage from the dumbest, most mentally ill people on earth. And bots. Mostly bots.

Here's another, from simpler times. I doubt WaPo would do this now...feels almost quaint.

(I would never say that I became a lawyer because of a song, because I studied politics when he was singing about a guy called Steven, but... yeah, procedure and truth is cool)

*monetise talking about it.

Talk about it, whatever, but if you monetise talking about it, you should have the baseline understanding, and people like me who HAVE studied things their whole lives shouldn't have to spend all our time debunking idiots who get paid to spread nonsense.

Everyone is always so hell-bent on their opnion-having without doing even the most basic of work to understand what they're talking about.

Honestly, I'm on the side of having to be degree-qualified/licensed to be able to talk about politics or law.
