giving the work of a hundred people a 2 stars rating because AI voices is nuts, I'm glad review scores are as uninfluential as the press nowadays if this is how things go
Rich PvE combat and an unusually friendly community make Arc Raiders a more approachable extraction shooter than most, but Embark Studios' continued use of AI voice generation is a black mark against its reputation.

how can your work on a sequel to a cult classic immersive sim/rpg and decide that this is ok😭😭😭

I waited for 6 years for a copy of this calendar to show up on ebay, the other day I finally received an email alert, I was in the middle of a meeting, I could barely contain my excitement and immediately bid on the auction.

Every photo I take is done practically with very little digital work, using household items to create special effects like cotton wool for fire & foil for water. Each set is meticulously set up for just the one scene then dismantled so I can set up another scene.

This is really sad, Carpe Fulgur did a lot of good helping small Japanese developers find success in the West with their fantastic work, I still smile thinking about Recettear.
Absolutely devastated by this news. SpaceDrake was no doubt a huge influence in drumming up interest for Japanese indie games localized into English and pushing for them on digital distribution storefronts like steam. Huge loss. Might be time for another playthrough of Recettear in his honour.

I'm conflicted about this, people are acting like the whole thing is AI generated but it took the work of hundreds of people, they re-scored it with an orchestra, they re-did all the shots on a sphere-mapped environment. it's a PR mistake to hide a lot of human work behind the AI buzzword

Sometimes big companies slip up and their soulless, ghoulish nature comes into full display, this is one of those times. Only a soulless corporate ghoul would re-brand a games company to look like this
What an utterly dogshit rebrand. Take something unique, characterful and distinctive and make it look like every other bland corporate unbrand out there.
