In fact Heather is going to be speaking about what she does and how to get in touch with your truth via some fascinating techniques she will demonstrate at tomorrow's Open House (Show and Tel) event: microshifting.ca/events/2025-...

Come on down and check this out if you feel so inclined!

And what it actually is?

Actually upon some rumination I think we can say that a virus has a similar potential

Depends on your definition of control (influence?) to some extent but I think we can all agree that some virus do indeed exert significant influence over us at times and I’d like to think we’re the smarter ones

It’s just that I believe #Authenticity will become even more important in the future as the real value of humans starts to shine forth

Tech should support people not replace them

We avoid most work as a rule yes

We do choose to do some hard work based on the belief that there is a reward for doing so

That got me to thinking — if anyone can do the hard stuff courtesy of a prompt then what happens when the reward system dries up?

Want to know the shortcut?

There is no shortcut

I think this aligns with the concept that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

The value of something will always be in direct proportion to the real effort required to obtain it

As soon as you open an apple pie bakery it’s no longer about baking apple pies

It’s about everything that prevents you from baking apple pies

I don’t just try it out — I chugged the koolaid by the gallon and when it didn’t work I just chugged even more

In the end you still have to grow faster than the rest of the world (a different koolaid perhaps?) else it’s back to some form of: run run as fast as you can just to stay where you are

This is true even in every domain

A doctor calls it a femur, mortals call it the thigh bone

Every domain = unique vocabulary — not so much to keep others out — which it tends to do — more to help communicate with efficiency

As you’ve indicated programming is one such highly specialized domain
