It’s the only color flexible background, simple as. Anything else would lock the decks into a specific color pairing.

FYI those types of cards are almost universally banned or just non-legal joke cards.

I understand its purpose in draft, this is a complaint about it being a missed opportunity for commanders care about the Initiative but don’t grant it.

Like, these are technically commanders but they just don’t work well outside of a draft environment. Esp. when they share colors with Rilsa Rael, the commander that just gives you the Initiative.

It’s just a stock mono-black aristocrats deck but using Shirei as a Lifeline in the Commander Zone so you don’t have to go wide as Artisocrats usually does.
