John Barnes was born in Jamaica in 1963. His family moved to England when he was 13. He played for Watford and Liverpool, won numerous trophies, 79 caps for England and was twice named Footballer of the year.

I once had a colleague who used to compliment an outfit by saying 'it looks so much nicer than the one you had on yesterday'. Amazingly, we're still friends.
