Why? Well the wealthy have all the money. Inequality in the UK has shot up in the last decade, as shown by the Gini coefficient below.

As of October 2024 we are members of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. Can one see what the problem here is? Replacing membership of the European single market (where we live) with this geographically absurd nonsense.
