I think her undisputed masterpiece is "Von Dutch". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about music itself.

Also while this is true, people do let you get away with a lot if you really are excellent in math, 1.) I would put the cutoff at something like 1 in 10,000 or so, and 2.). Even if you hit the cutoff there’s an extra 0 in your salary if you can be a 1 in 10,000 mathematician with good social skills

I think this is true, but that ACA subsidies weren’t the only prize on the table we walked away from.

Trump turning the heat up on Congress to kill the filibuster is worth a LOT for Democrats long-term and opens a whole lot of policy doors for 2029

1) Civility is a two-way street; they’ve been assholes to us for years
2) Making it so the eyes and ears of a fascist Rep are constantly burning makes it harder to staff their offices, and makes them less eager to answer phones at all, weakening constituent services

Win-win

Everything you've said is true. I'll also add that the areas represented by that nebulous gray zone can also carry food to the blue counties if we choose. But if we opt to stop buying AND shipping/exporting your red-county food... well... good luck!

This isn’t about left vs. right.

This is about fighting back vs. losing.

The regime’s threats are too real and the stakes are too high to settle for the feckless, loser version of the Democratic Party we saw this week. In this moment when fascists are on the march, we need leadership with a spine.
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

Our primary program will include both the House and Senate. And after the primary — whatever happens — we will rally behind the winner and crush the regime electorally in the midterms just like we did this last week.

We get the party we demand and we intend to demand a Democratic Party that fights.

This isn’t just about the eight Senate Democrats who surrendered. 👇

Indivisible is morally centered and refuses to make the same misjudgment twice

It’s not always the fastest route to the finish line, and involves a lot of incremental steps to get there. But I think that small-c conservative approach is what helps them build such a big army

Most depressing thing for me is, if this was orchestrated behind closed doors to have the non-‘26 re-election Dems take the heat… just how big a pool of cowards are we dealing with here? 15? 20? More? I’m confident it more than the 8 we saw, but how much more?
