450-550 is always the answer, above 550 you get into the Cancer Zone (benzene rings) and below that it just doesn’t hit

I could see this doing numbers on lot

Think Reynolds has a book on this,
(Rip It Up And Start Again), generation ecstasy is about much more localized stuff but makes me think he could speak to the concepts at least. Don’t read his Dead takes though they are so bad

Would it even be good if word got out? Vineland is kind of about that too, how what’s special is possible only cause people at large haven’t realized it’s worth caring about yet. Which you can say about a lot of Pynchon’s work. To the point where it feels like half the guy’s output is For Me. God.

but the only people who recognize it as that are the freaks who can see themselves in the work. I love and hate this cause on the one hand it’s great to see there’s a spot for us in the canon. But no one even realizes that’s what’s happening. But maybe that’s for the best?

Is any of that faker than the MDMA fueled alternative clown college cult in SE PDX in the 10s? And the characters settle into these larger than life personas but that’s just how you operate in the scene there. So you end up with this completely naturalistic picture of a very weird important place

It perfectly captures the tendencies of the subjects to mythologize their own lives (and how drugs and mysticism help with that) but those parts are clearly signposted and then the rest is weird in a very normal-for-freaks way. But like the punk kids, the heavy mob guys, the very off model ninjitsu…

Lmao news to me but I’m hype. BCS is an all timer

I love it it’s so weird. The few I’ve sought out feel like this little secret I have cause no one’s even like heard of them, no idea if this is an intentional marketing strategy and I’m not buying anyway but it’s kinda hype

I’ve wanted this for almost a decade and using the power of natural intelligence (the deep neural network formed between me and my dog) I was able to code it in just a day. Amazing what happens when you Just Do It. Lots to fix already but that’s part of it. Like why isn’t it emojis. God.

Also you do watercolor effortlessly! I conceptually can follow what you’re talking about and relate it to dying fabric but I have never been able to just get it to work like you

I don’t know of anyone doing anything even close to your drawing practice, for what that’s worth. The handful of comparisons that even sort of work are like “this person likes art deco & incorporated it enough that I start to care too”.

took a lot of living and watching a couple people try (and not all succeed) to realize this is the coolest thing to do

What about gun ownership? Brief google makes me think it’s an unsettled question, which is awful for a test like this lol. If you say that the right answer is voting, that saves the test, but that’s a big claim about gun rights for not the Supreme Court to be making

(My answer to the question is that it was to guarantee war loans made by the capitalist class to European states & shore up pacific colonial aspirations, which I think does even better on historian consensus these days, but also doesn’t get me citizenship if I don’t already have it)

However when the official entry did happen it was a big part of the propaganda around it, and so there is precedent for the US advocating that as the right answer. And that’s what’s interesting to me here - are we making agreeing with American propaganda a precedent for getting to live here?

Timeline is Lusitania in 1915, Zimmerman Jan 1917, US entry summer 1917. Granting that I got good grades on history tests answering that, I think it’s an incomplete and misleading answer. For one, what was the Lusitania doing in there in the first place? (A point made at the time by peaceniks)
