Sometimes that’s the way to go! Following the creativity to its conclusion can lead to interesting results, and that involves listening to your gut if something feels off! Heck I only just designed Veronica, but now I’m considering making her MORE vampire-like. Inspiration strikes in odd ways!

Oh my goodness your characters are all so cool and pretty! 🥺 The underworld connections are interesting and rich, and I can totally relate to making an OC just because you wanna follow a certain vibe or look 😅 I made my vampire OC Veronica because I wanted a vampire! Totally get it 👍

She did with the help of some strong warriors and spellcasters in the caravan! This was even before she was a vampire, and Emerald’s elemental ties made him unusually strong among monsters in Itterbane! Perhaps this fight is what made her sick, inspiring her to seek vampirism 👀

She reminds me of my arachne character Ranna Onyx, who deserves newer art 😅 She’s also refined with a lethal side! I think they’d have lots to talk about 👀

I remember cassie really standing out when I looked at your characters for Artfight. I think she and Veronica would get along well with both witchy vibes and interest in research! Though aside from being a vampire, Veronica doesn’t use much magic 👀

Veronica is a vampire from Itterbane! I’m considering making her vampirism more obvious somehow. It could make social implications more interesting 👀

She’s a parazoologist, and studies both animals and medicine. She comes off cold and focused, but is loyal to those who make an effort to know her 🌙

Thanks so much for hosting! For October I have Veronica and Emerald! She’s a vampire, he’s a gemfolk, both are from Itterbane, and they’ve met!

On a full moon years ago he was overwhelmed by his curse, assumed his monstrous scarecrow form, and attacked her caravan. Everyone lived, but not unharmed.

I’m so excited for the return to Strixhaven! When the first set came out I made a collection of decks built around the lesson/learn mechanic, and the inclusion of lessons in Avatar makes me think that learn is coming back in Secrets of Strixhaven! Deck updates AND more Arcavios!

Noted! Culture can definitely be shared, but it should also be respected. Even though the Abzan Houses are fictional, they take cues from real world cultures and aesthetics. My goal is to represent and appreciate the fictional faction, but I just don’t want to misrepresent anyone. Time will tell!
