im actually really happy with it! i usually struggle a LOT to translate redraws into my own style and i this went quick and was fun!

Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.

last year i made a little pixel tombstone. and then another. and another. until i was making an impromptu october prompt list i called #octomber! At the end i assembled all my little tombstones into one big graveyard

This year I want to try it again! Let's make little graveyards together!

The list reads: 1 - cat / black dog 2 3 - full moon / offering 4 5 - decoration 6 7 - vamp / werewolf 8 9 - bones / pumpkin 10 11 - decoration 12 13 - crypt / statue 14 15 - candles / ritual 16 17 - decoration 18 19 - grim reaper / crypt keeper 20 21 - ghost / zombie 22 23 - decoration 24 25 - empty grave / broken 26 27 - witch / crow 28 29 - bloody / candy 30 31 - Put it all together! In the lower right corner is pixel art of a tombstone on a grassy plot with lit candles around its base. A black bird sits on top. An image with a desaturated orange background, the word OCTOMBER centered at the top. The letters T-O-M-B are in white while the rest are in black. The rest of the image is filled with text that reads: Make a tombstone using the prompts as inspiration! Why do I need to make big pictures for the whole screen when little pictures works just as good?

Now it should be easier for me to set up things the player can look at with out spending so much time on the art side of things.

And so, with #octomber all wrapped up, here's the entire little graveyard i built this month!

I had a LOT of fun working on this and i'm already thinking about next year and possibly putting together a prompt list so we can all build little graveyards! Happy Halloween!! 🎃

the worm in my brain when i go into the supermarket to buy something quick for dinner

finally got to play and finish Count Lucanor! It's been in my library for ages. hard to find time to actually play games these days but i'm hoping this is the start of me finding a way!
