A couple more WIP photos before I post the results in the next reply.
Here it is soldered before the washing, you can see all the flux and gunk on it.
After soldering, you give it a really good wash, then apply the black patina to turn the silvery solder lines a dark black color.

All pieces are now foiled!
This part of the process involved taping thin copper foil around the sides of every piece of glass. This copper edging is what will be soldered to stick the pieces to one another

The process of grinding each piece so that they start fitting together as perfectly as possible like a puzzle is tedious and hard on the back, but satisfying once each piece is done

It could definitely be better but holy crap did this project go better than my last one.

It looks kind of messy with black scuffs and stuff but those will wash off. This soldering iron is a dream compared to the old one I've had for like a decade which was never meant for stained glass

Made coconut macaroons for Ash because she's been craving them for so long and we couldn't find any anywhere. I've never made them before but she says they're good and it made her happy which made me happy!
