Ooh I have a pattern for fingerless gloves I've been meaning to knit, good idea

As someone who attended a Catholic college and took theology courses there, that OU essay is not "bible based". She didn't even cite scripture or any of the many, many theologians who have written about gender.

I've been following you for like a year on bsky and just realized you wrote those articles on invasive ectomycorrhizae. Small world!

I wish my region would do e-bikes and electric public transportation! It would be so much more efficient if we could just transport people instead of adding a recliner and a loveseat into the equation

Some C goes into the soil for longer, that's what we call recalcitrant carbon. It happens when the organic matter isn't easily decomposed by the microbiota and sticks around for years to millennia. It will eventually reenter the C cycle as CO2 or CH4 though, given enough time

Hi, qualified person here. Decaying trees do release C into the atmosphere, CO2 is released by microbes in the process of aerobic respiration. CH4 is the product of anaerobic decomposition.

The real moral hazard isn't people getting things they "don't deserve", it's allowing human beings to suffer needlessly because of a lack of compassion and capitulation to this filthy, rotten system

If we're going back in time might as well mention terror birds! They're the coolest

Which is a mirror of colonization, which is a mirror of patriarchy, etc.

We need a system that respects the inherent dignity of all people and makes decisions for the common good.

I just go to the physical post office

I promise I try to communicate with everyone about the importance of soil and its microbial denizens, the public does not want to hear about it. At this point my local no-till CSA farms are cheaper than Kroger, but people are resistant to change even if it saves money

Hi, can you please as a representative do something to end Luxottica's monopoly on glasses? Other countries don't have to pay such ridiculous prices to see.
November 19, 2025 at 4:26 PM
I recently found out you can get a pair of glasses in Japan for like $50. Can our government please end Luxottica's monopoly?

Uh.... we have pasties? Idk if it's slop but it's easy to throw in the oven for an easy meal. I've also been known to whip up a casserole when folks get hungry at house parties, so that may qualify as "slop"

True, eliminating fossil fuels is a must. I'd also add in that we must change the agricultural system as we need to curb methane emissions and restore more land

Selfishness and shortsightedness, that's why more SUVs are being sold.
