That (well, hydration and electrolytes) was my strategy for the first couple Covid vaccines, based on others’ experiences. Seemed to work pretty well.

to be sure it wasn’t cancer, and one thing led to another and now I’m having surgery the day after Christmas. I practically rolled my eyes when my husband asked the surgeon if my Snapple-sized tumor could be causing the pain while running, but then she said yes, it’s definitely possible, so 🤞🤞

I had an MRI of my lower back because I’ve had a lot of pain while running (I’ve been a marathoner for the last decade or so, and it really builds up over 20+ miles), and it found nothing specific to that but casually noted a large mass in my pelvis, so of course I got that checked out right away

Can we talk about the super-dim garages where you pick up rental cars in big cities? I always worry that I’ll miss something on the front end that I’ll be charged for on return, although I’ve always assumed if it’s too dark for me to see, it’s too dark for the check-in person to see.

Appendicitis is also natural, but it 100% would have killed me without surgical intervention.

My husband lived in Squirrel Hill during grad school (1997-98) and LOVED it. I’m not sure how much he drove, though, and it was surely a simpler time, traffic-wise (and in other ways…sigh).
