He/him. Reader and part time cat furniture. Trying to recall how this social media stuff is supposed to work.
Honestly, sounds like you've had plenty of reasons there...

Other friend: You know a lot about this?
S: I was on the board that wrote the regulations.

It was the best “do not quote the Deep Magic to me, witch” I have seen in a while.

Oh, come on John, I'm disappointed — that's just clout farming!

(For the inevitable person who reads this and doesn't get the joke: there is an archery competition called "clout" where you aim over a long distance at a flag stuck in the ground. You stand much like the archers in the photo.)

There's quite a difference between a breakfast muffin (aka "English" muffins) and an oven bottom!

The former tend to be a denser texture, the latter are fluffier and more open.

NB: I*am* British, and many of the Americans attitudes about British cooking are simply tiresome.

(I am also insomniac tonight, go figure)

Thank you for your dedication to science in the face of annoying scolds.

Seeing some of the "are you British?" comments after your beans post makes me wonder what would happen if you were to post an uncontroversial plate of food and say "ah, my favourite British recipe" or similar...

I've got mine remapped to alt, to make modifiers simpler to hit in FFXIV.

Oh, I dunno, I'm pretty happy with our one... This is slightly of to the side, and also illuminated by under cabinet led strips, but most of the illumination is from the extractor hood.

Ok, ok, "Silver and Lead" by Seanan McGuire in hardback, and "Hemlock and Silver" by Ursula V on my ereader.

The mental mashup was an interesting one.
