The first week of every month, I publish a post about the most exciting sapphic book releases from the last month. January was a great month for queer literary works and contemporary romances. Some highlights include The Lamb by Lucy Rose and We Could Be Rats by Emily R. Austin. Check them out! 🌈📚

Woke up today to the news that I got approved for the sequel to Strange Beasts, Wayward Souls, and I am a very happy woman. Can't wait to dive back into the world of my favorite sapphic fantasy of last year!

Strange Beasts just so perfectly encapsulates my tastes as a reader that I can’t help but love it. If the idea of a historical sapphic fantasy with compelling female leads and a sympathetic perspective on womanhood and monsterhood sounds up your alley, then I can't recommend this novel enough. 🌈📚

Finally, I get to talk about my favorite sapphic read of 2024.

I will never understand why publishers continue to use the same shitty art style for their romance covers. You know the one. Nothing is less sexy than cartoon borderless characters. 🌶️📚

Ever look at a book synopsis and think it would be so much better if it were sapphic fiction instead?

As it turns out, I missed some awesome new releases when I posted this blog earlier in the morning. I've just come back from my classes and added four new sapphic books that you should definitely include in your TBR! 🌈📚

So remember when I said that August was full of sapphic horror releases? Well, Sapphic September introduces a whole lot of “cozy spooky.” We have multiple supernatural romances and the odd horror anthology in Teenage Girls Can Be Demons. There are also new gorgeous sapphic fantasy releases! 🌈📚

Today is the release date for not one, but TWO of C.L. Clark's newest sapphic books. The first is The Sovereign, the thrilling conclusion to the acclaimed Magic of the Lost trilogy, and the second is Fate's Bane, a standalone fantasy novella that promises to be "a tragic sapphic adventure." 🌈📚

Okay yay, good to know! This will be my first Abercrombie!

This Saturday, New York's biggest independent bookstore is celebrating its 98th anniversary with 20% off storewide! I have no idea what to expect, but I'm really hoping to snag a copy of Joe Abercrombie's newest release, The Devils. I think the hardcover is so gorgeous. 😍 #booksky

I'm shocked by this headline, and it looks like most people are too. I've always included Bluestockings as one of the must-go destinations for queer readers in NYC and now it's shutting down—and by the sound of it, the internals aren't pretty. I don't know what to think right now. 🌈📚

As a sapphic romance reader, I've come to learn that I don't really enjoy instant lust or lust before love, especially if it isn't justified later in the story with some really amazing relationship development. Is this a hot take in the community? 🌈📚
Ladies in Hating (Spoiler-Free Review)

Okay, I brought like 30 used books to The Strand and got twenty dollars in credit, which I thought was pretty good until everyone around me was like "Nah." Now I'm considering Sweet Pickle Books because I love pickles. Anyone have any experience getting rid of books in NYC? #booksky

I don't usually talk about games on my blog, but I had to make an exception for Signalis. This indie cult hit is Blade Runner in space combined with sapphic romance and atmospheric dread. It is also probably going to be one of my favorite games of the year. I loved everything about it. 🌈📚

My Switch 1 joycons are completely bricked, so I'll be playing it on PC! It looks like I'll need to get a Switch 2 for FE tho!

AND HADES 2 COMING OUT IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!! I've been avoiding spoilers, so all I know about this game is that it's a sequel to Hades, you play as Melinoe, and Nemesis is in it, smoking hot, and potentially romanceable. I'm going to have a hard time focusing this week. 😭

Yes!! In fact, I found your post on it. It's called Sapphic Books & WLW Reads (or something like that), I think.

I know I'm late to the social media hype train, but I'm already in love with Leda from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.
