He’s so good! It’s amazing how quickly he just fits into the role as well. Nearly makes you forget he wasn’t in the first season!

100% this! I’ve had to remove some really promising indie games from my wishlist because they use AI-generated assets.

Finally, use it responsibly! I’ve been seeing far, far too many games on Steam that use generated assets that could have been made by humans (voice acting, music, etc). This sucks. Don’t use it like this. Tedium is the realm of machines, while creativity is the realm of people.

In general, I reject the use of genAI for several reasons, but I do think every job can benefit from thoughtfully small uses. Use it to engage your brain and creativity (where it makes sense), not surrender it!

However, there are definite use cases. I work in a creative field, and Photoshop’s GenAI is hugely useful in image cleanup cases that would take a long time to fix by hand. In these cases, cloning is tedious, and gen fill is really useful for getting me to the creative work I enjoy!

I'm also not talking about changing up shots or re-editing sequences a la the special editions of Star Wars. Keep everything the way it was as much as possible. Practical effect? Leave it! Just integrate it using modern tools & techniques.
