Had a campfire with my friend last night, and we were playing around with some clay she dug up. We made some little things and threw them into the fire still wet to see what would happen :)

It gives a feeling of unsettled numbness and false calm. This was a piece born of grief, and someday I will repaint it to better capture the feeling. This bird stayed with me for many months, and she deserves to be recognized.
