Exactly that! It was a choice between ‘cock up’ or ‘balls up’ both which are used interchangeably here. No idea how these terms originated in the UK!

However, the fact it doesn’t compress the crap out of photos, you can post nude content and you can control who sees what content (public/friends/family filters) are great features to have.

It was once the largest photo sharing platform (pre 2010). However, it was slow to progress its mobile apps and once instagram and other options came along, Flickr users declined rapidly.

Thanks for the follow back on Flickr! We’ve used it for some years and while it’s not as popular as it once was, it’s can still be a good way to showcase your photography 😊
