Hit a crisp mid-50s in town and you'd think people walking around Cascades Park were heading to the après-ski.

Still wondering why I spent three hours of a night-before-a-holiday on that.

This is not what they actually say. This is what they used to say, in the long ago before times when Shaheen learned to do politics. There is no kumbaya median voter anymore. The question you get knocking doors is not "why can't you all just work together?" it's "why didn't / will you fight harder?
Shaheen: "When I talk to my constituents in New Hampshire, you know what they say to me? They say, 'Why can't you all just work together to address the problems that are facing this country?'"

The Big Ten West borders might officially be gone, but you'll never be able to erase it from the map.
The Wisconsin Badgers just beat #24 Washington.

Their leading passer was a punter.

Big Ten football at its finest.

Don't think this idea is advanced in any meaningful way at the moment, but what gets me is how casually and confidentially it was thrown out there by their CFO on stage in public, where she also said we lacked *exuberance* of all things. When else has that word been used! 🫧🫧

This here is the correct amount of PnR discourse, no need for any further deliberation.

I wonder if the few Republicans that'll have the awareness they should back off their gerrymanders will actually do it, out of reason and concern, or will they double-down knowing they've now got a time limit on their political and economic smash and grab of our country.
That’s the thing about the new Republican gerrymanders. Most of them assume the 2024 Trump electorate is permanent. It’s not.
Republicans thought they had a permanent hold over young men. They didn't.

Spanberger wins men 18-29 by 14%, Sherrill by 10%, and Mamdani by a stunning 40%.

It's great voters had plenty of candidates to be enthusiastic about, but it was a CFB Saturday election night for the haters.

From Cuomo to Earle-Sears to book-banning school board members and all those that endorsed and donated millions to them, it feels just as good to see them eat shit tonight.
November 5, 2025 at 4:36 AM
Seeing a 30+ year GOPer finally eat shit is always fun, but not as fun as saying the name Nicole Cole, as the one who took him down.
Very interesting race brewing in Virginia's #HD66 (Trump+2):

Bobby Orrock (R) (Inc)- 52%
Nicole Cole (D)- 48%

40% reporting, but a decent amount of Democratic-friendly vote left. Can the Democrats unseat a 30+ year incumbent?

Looking longingly across the border at Georgia doing its thing, and it's not even close at the moment, both pulling in around 60% of the vote statewide.
